Northerners decry potential cuts to housing subsidies for some federal workers
Planned changes to a federal housing program are expected to alter housing payments for federal employees across the North. Federal employees in 17 communities would benefit from a rent subsidy they didn’t have before, while those owning a home in five other northern communities would lose thousands of dollars a year.
